Terms of submission:-

1)    The student must be of Kuwaiti nationality or the child a Kuwaiti woman.

2)    The student must have a valid civil ID.

3)    The student must be studying outside of the State of Kuwait and at their own expense.

4)    The student must not be employed.

5)    The student does not receive a salary or financial aid from any government agency.

6)    The student must submit evidence of their studies at one of the universities accredited by the National Authority for Academic Accreditation to ensure the quality of education, provided that it is certified by the official external authorities (Kuwait Cultural Office only).

7)    Submit the online application.

Categories that are entitled to apply:

1)    Kuwaiti students and the children of Kuwaiti women who study at their own expense.

2)    Kuwaiti students studying at the expense of the Emiri Diwan and Al-Mabarat.

How to use the system:

1)    Access is gained through the Ministry's official website: www.mohe.edu.kw.

2)    Choose the social reward for special students from the electronic services on the main page.

3)    Create an electronic account if you do not have an account already.

4)    Enter your information.

5)    Upload the required documents as PDFs not exceeding 900 K.B.

6)    Send the request to the ministry electronically by clicking on the (Send) button.

7)    The student must go to the Ministry in person to sign the pledge they are at least 21 years old. If the age is not 21, the guardian (father) signs the pledge. As for non-Kuwaitis, the guardian (mother) signs the pledge.

8)    The data is updated periodically with the Kuwaiti Cultural Office of the country of study twice a year (February 2 - September 9).

9)    The social stipend must be stopped by going to the ministry in person in the event the student graduates, suspends studies, is dismissed from the university, changes country of study, changes university, joins any scholarship or scholarship, or obtains a job.

Required documents:

1)    The student's civil ID (and that of the guardian’s if the student is under 21 years old).

2)    The civil ID of the student's mother (for non-Kuwaitis, children of Kuwaiti women).

3)    Birth certificate and mother's nationality (for non-Kuwaiti children of Kuwaiti women).

4)    Bring proof that the student is not currently a scholarship recipient in addition to proof that he has not received a social reward from his country (for non-Kuwaiti children of Kuwaiti women).

5)    A salary transfer form in the name of the student (from a Kuwaiti bank).

6)    University acceptance certified by the Kuwaiti Cultural Office of the country of study.

7)    A certificate under study from the university certified by the Kuwaiti Cultural Office of the country of study.

8)    A detailed “To Whom it May Concern” letter from the General Organization for Social Insurance.

9)    A certificate from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor - Family Welfare Department (Ministries Complex - Liberation Tower),

10)            A recent marriage contract or a recent marriage continuity for Kuwaiti students married to a Kuwaiti woman. If the wife was a non-Kuwaiti, the student is given the stipend as a bachelor.

11)            A verification SMS will be sent to the student after the request is sent to the ministry (confirmed). Once confirmed the student must go in person to the ministry to sign the pledge.

a.      If the student is a Kuwaiti less than 21 years of age their guardian (father) signs the pledge

b.     If the student is non-Kuwaiti student is less than 21 years of age their guardian (mother) signs the pledge. 

General Notes:

·        The data will be confirmed through the link with the Public Authority for Civil Information and through the link with the Social Insurance.

·        The student who applies for the social reward and signs the pledge at the Ministry after sending the application will receive their social reward.

·        If the student is younger than 21, the guardian (father) must visit the Ministry to sign the pledge or his representative with an official power of attorney on behalf of the student or his guardian.

·        The students who haven’t started their studies and have applied for the award will receive the imbursement from the start date of the study.
